 rt Team\n\n\n\nABOUT THE SPEAKER\n\nJohn Patrick ("J.P.") Ellis\nC88 Fina
 ncial Technologies\n\nJ.P. Ellis is a graduate of Columbia University in 
 the City of New York in International Relations. In 2005​\,​ he joine
 d a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in rural East Nusa Tenggara\, Ind
 onesia\, as part of the Stanford University-based Volunteers in Asia prog
 ram.\n\nLater​ ​in 2006\, he joined successful international jewelry 
 entrepreneurs John and Cynthia Hardy as they sold their eponymous brand t
 o 3i private equity. In 2007\, he moved to Quvat Capital Partners\, a Sin
 gapore-based regional private equity firm.\n\nIn 2011\, he founded Harpoo
 n Mobile\, a mapping technology application (maptech)\, which won the Wor
 ld Summit Awards Mobile in Abu Dhabi in 2012.\n\nIn 2013\, he and three
 ​ ​co-founders established​ ​C88 Financial Technologies and he co
 ntinues to serve as Group CEO. C88 Financial Technologies is the holding 
 company of eCompareMo.com in the Philippines and CekAja.com in Indonesia.
 \n\nIn 2015\, Ellis and several fintech practitioners took the initiative
  to establish the Indonesian Fintech Association. As one of the founders\
 , he currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors​.​\n\n\n\
