\n\nBio\nDr Renato Luís Garrido Cavalcante\n Renato Luís Garrido Cavalc
ante received the Electronics\nEngineering degree from the Instituto Tecn
 ológico de Aeronáutica\, S~ao José dos Campos\, Brazil\, in 2002\, and
the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in communications and integrated systems from
  the Tokyo\nInstitute of Technology\, Tokyo\, Japan\, in 2006 and 2008\,
respectively. He is currently a Group Leader with the Fraunhofer Institut
 e for Telecommunications\, Heinrich Hertz Institute\, Berlin\, Germany\,
and a Lecturer with the Technical University of Berlin. He held appointme
nts as a Research Fellow with the University of Southampton\, Southampton
\, U.K.\, and as a Research Associate with the University of Edinburgh\,
Edinburgh\, U.K. His interests include signal processing for distributed
 systems\, multiagent systems\, convex analysis\, machine learning\, and\n
wireless communications. \nDr. Cavalcante was a recipient of the Excellen
t Paper Award from the Institute of Electronics\, Information and Communi
cation Engineers in 2006 and the IEEE Signal Processing Society (Japan Ch
apter) Student Paper Award in 2008. He also co-authored a study that was
the recipient of the Best Student Paper Award at the 13th IEEE\nInternati
