Thanks to your support\, it has become a highlight for ma ny participants each year.\n\nThis year\, we’re taking that concept a s tep further. We are rebranding the event as RubyIlluminations 2026\, a ne w type of presentation and live event themed around "Light\, Sound\, and Visuals related to Ruby."\n\nWhy the change?\n\nAs we’ve seen in recent RubyKaigi talks\, there is a growing intersection between software engin eering and multimedia\, using Ruby to generate sound or control visual di splays. Rather than simply providing a venue to "just play music\," we wa nted to create a place for technically interesting and free expression\, much like creative coding.\n\nWe are preparing a high-quality stage desig ned to make multimedia works shine. Our goal is to host an event where ev eryone feels welcome to share their work and connect with the community.
