:30 From Scrum to LeSS. What Actually Changes When You Scale — Roge
rio Taques\n\nWhen I joined WOVN\, we used to play Scrum by the book! It
worked until we realized that with multiple teams working in different pa
rts of the same product\, it was easy to focus on the "wrong" things that
were not actually creating the value our customers needed! To overcome t
his challenge\, we turned to Large Scale Scrum (LeSS). In this presentati
on\, I will talk about our experience changing development methodologies\
, and the common pitfalls of scaling Agile\, especially when refocusing t
he organization on a single product.\n\nRogerio Taques (Software Engineer
at Wovn Technologies)\n\nRogerio is a seasoned Full-Stack Engineer and f
ormer Product Owner with a deep background in Information Systems. He bri
dges the gap between complex technical stacks and a customer-centric\, pr
 oduct-first mindset.\n\n19:40 〜 20:05 My Cafe Side Project — Chris S
alzberg \n\nA lot of developers dream of opening their own cafe\, but mos
t of them never will. Taking the leap from the virtual world of bits to t
he physical world of bites carries serious risks. Not to mention that dee
p down\, many dreaming coders worry they might not enjoy the new lifestyl
e they end up with.\n\nWith all these odds stacked against it\, who would
ever actually do this kind of thing?\n\nWell\, I did! Last year\, I open
ed my own cafe named "Solenoid" in the city of Hakodate. I run Solenoid a
s a side project a couple days a week\; on other days I use it as my offi
ce for my job as a software engineer.\n\nIn this talk\, I'll walk you thr
ough all the things I had to do to get Solenoid up and running. This incl
udes: buying and renovating a property\, getting licenses\, dealing with
stakeholders\, buying inventory\, and doing taxes\, among other things. I
'll also describe the emotional roller-coaster ride that doing this kind
of thing involves\, and what it feels like to actually come out the other
side.\n\nChris Salzberg (Staff Developer at Shopify)\n\nChris is a Canad
ian software engineer with more than twenty years experience working and
living in Japan. He is currently a Staff Developer on the Payments Team a
 t Shopify.\n\n20:05 〜 20:45 Open Networking\n\nDiscuss the presentation
or anything else with the other attendees.\n\nWant to speak at a future
event?\n\nWe're looking for speakers. You can find more details and submi
t a proposal here.\n\nAbout TokyoDev\n\nTokyoDev's job board is filled wi
