Hexagon UX is a global community to share stories & support for women, transgender and non-binary individuals in UX. Whatever your gender, you are welcome here! We focus on community events & mentorship to help diverse viewpoints in our industry grow. Our second Hexagon UX Tokyo event will be a talk and interactive workshop on creative culture creation done by Eri Tsutsumi from IDEO. She's best known for her talk on "The Design of Happiness" on the TED stage. It will be held on Friday, July 27th at 7:00PM in Omotesando at IDEO’s lovely offices.

About the Talk: “The Design Process at IDEO” IDEO is design consultancy committed to creating positive impact. David Kelley, one of the founders of this global agency, coined the term Design Thinking which has since become widely known throughout the world of design. In the session, Eri will talk about how IDEO’s unique design process and how they use it to create a positive impact with their clients and the world.

About the Talk: “Creative Culture Creation” One of the key factors for great design is having a culture that encourages creativity. Eri will explain what’s behind IDEO’s creative team power and how to build a culture that inspires creativity and free thinking.

About Workshop: Creating Creative Culture Toolkits How can we create a culture that nurtures creativity? Sometimes nurturing this can be difficult, especially especially given the current Japanese working environment. In this session, we will be using design toolkits to think of innovative methods that can be used to build a creative culture for your team. We want you to take home a piece of working creativity with you!

Talk: IDEOのデザインプロセス Ideoは世界にポジティブなインパクトを与えることを目的とするデザインコンサルタンシーです。Design thinking という言葉はIdeo創立者の１人であるDavid Kelleyにより世界中のデザイナーの間で使われる言葉となりました。このセッションではIdeoのデザインプロセス、そしてそれがどのように世の中や顧客にポジティブなインパクトを与える為に使われているか話します。

Talk: クリエーティブなカルチャーの作り方 クリエーティビティーを推奨するカルチャーは良いデザインを作るためにとても大切な要素の一つです。このセッションではIdeoがクリエーティビティーや自由な発想を促すチームを作るために何を行っているのか学びます。

クリエーティブカルチャー作りツールキット制作 どうやればクリエーティブなカルチャーは作れるのでしょうか？特に今の日本の労働環境ではクリエーティブなカルチャーを作ることはとてもハードルの高いのではないでしょうか？このセッションではデザインツールキットを使いクリエーティブなカルチャー作りに活かせるイノベーティブな手法を皆で考えます。セッション後、このツールキットを持って帰り是非クリエーティブなカルチャー作り実践して頂きたいです。
