イベント内容
概要
IBMのOpen Source 活動をリードする、Jeff Borek 氏、James Bottomley 氏、Linux FoundationのChris Aniszczyk 氏を迎え、エンタープライズでのOpen Sourceの利用に関するワールドワイドのトレンドや発表について話をしてもらいます。また、実際にOpen Sourceの活動に携わっている日本IBM社員によるパネルディスカッションも予定しています。

Jeffrey Borek
Jeffrey Borek is a WW Program Director of Open Technology in the IBM Digital Business Group responsible for IBM Open Source Program Office, WW Standards, and open technologies. He has 20+ years of experience in the software industry including assignments in business and technical strategy, customer engagement, business development, and for the last decade open source and cloud technology. He currently serves as the second on the Board of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Board, and IBM's rep on the Open API Initiative Board of Directors, and the Open Container Initiative (OCI)
James Bottomley
James Bottomley is a Distinguished Engineer at IBM Research where he works on Cloud and Container technology. He is also Linux Kernel maintainer of the SCSI subsystem. He has been a Director on the Board of the Linux Foundation and Chair of its Technical Advisory Board. He went to university at Cambridge for both his undergraduate and doctoral degrees after which he joined AT&T Bell labs to work on Distributed Lock Manager technology for clustering. In 2000 he helped found SteelEye Technology, a High availability company for Linux and Windows, becoming Vice President and CTO. He joined Novell in 2008 as a Distinguished Engineer at Novell's SUSE Labs, Parallels (later Odin) in 2011 as CTO of Server Virtualization and IBM Research in 2016.
Chris Aniszczyk
Chris Aniszczykは、その15年余りの開発経験をThe Linux Foundation のデベロッパー プログラム担当バイス プレジデントとCloud Native Computing FoundationのCOOの職に生かしています。彼は開発者コミュニティと協力し、オープン ソース プロジェクトの拡充を進めています。The Linux Foundationに参加する前は、Twitter社でオープン ソース担当長として開発者支援チームを率い、Twitterのオープン ソース エンジニアリング、戦略、カルチャーの責任者でした。Gentoo Linuxにも貢献し、Eclipse Foundation役員会やJava Community Process Executive Committeeのメンバーも務めました。エンジニアであるChrisは、オープンソースとコミュニティ開発への情熱をLinux Foundationで発揮しています。
