Compiling a binary is an important part of Mac / iOS app development, but it is also the most boring part. We think it’s important to make build process fast and efficient so we can use more time for actual app development.

And so this time we will hold a meetup to talk about Building Swift Apps. We are also looking for people interested to give Lightning Talks about these topics!

• Swift/iOS Tips on improving build workflows/performance
• Issues and solutions on Test flows, CI/CD

English and Japanese presentations are both welcome! ※ Please be advised that English-speaking engineers will be present during the activity, but real-time translations will not be conducted.

As a special guest speaker, we will be having Viktor Benei from Bitrise to talk about Bitrise and deployment builds! If you are interested, please feel free to join us!

MacやiOSのアプリケーション開発において、ビルドは最も大切な作業のうちの一つです。 しかし、開発においてビルドは最も退屈な時間の一つでもあるかと思います。 より多くの時間を開発に使い、素早く、そしてクオリティの高いプロダクトを作るためには、ビルドの高速化・効率化は我々開発者にとって重要な課題だと思います。

そこで今回は Swiftとビルド にフォーカスを当てた勉強会を開催致します！ 以下のテーマに沿ったLTも募集します！

• Swift/iOSのビルド高速化に関するTips
• テストフロー・CI/CDに関する悩みや、それの解決方法

英語・日本語は問いません ※ 当日は英語が話せるエンジニアが同席しますが、同時通訳は行いません

Speakers

Viktor Benei ( CTO and Founder / Bitrise )

Viktor Benei co-founded Bitrise in 2014 as a spin-off to Bitfall, a mobile app development agency. As a mobile developer, CI/CD was a daily struggle, which directly led to the development of the Bitrise platform. Today, as CTO, Viktor focuses on the long term technical direction in which Bitrise evolves, while staying in close contact with the broader mobile app development community.

2014年にモバイルアプリ開発代理店であったBitfallへのスピンオフとしてBitriseを共同創始。当初のCI/CD開発は失敗の連続であったものの、今ではBitriseプラットフォームの発展において貢献している。 さらに、世界中のモバイルアプリコミュニティと密接な関係を築き続けており、CTOとしてBitriseの長期的な技術的方向性の確立においても尽力している。

Hiroshi Kimura ( iOS Engineer / Pairs Global Team )

Profile 2013 - Joined Eureka as an internship developer of the Pairs iOS app. Worked on performance improvements, design renewals, and porting from WebView to native iOS implementation. 2014 - Joined Eureka after graduating Toyo University School of Information Sciences and Arts. Developed Couples iOS app. Current - Head of Development and iOS developer of Pairs Global Division

2013年 インターンとして株式会社エウレカに入社し、「Pairs」のiOSアプリ開発を担当。パフォーマンス改善やデザインリニューアル、WebViewからネイティブへの移行を務める。 2014年 東洋大学総合情報学部を卒業後、株式会社エウレカに新卒として入社し、「Couples」のiOSアプリ開発を担当。 現在はPairs Global事業部としてPairsの海外版のプロダクト開発責任者兼iOSアプリ開発を担当している。

John Estropia ( iOS Engineer / Pairs JP Team )

2014 - Joined Eureka with 3 years Objective-C and 1 year Swift (beta) experience. Developed Couples iOS app, keeping it updated through all Swift versions. 2016 - Joined the Pairs JP Team to help with the full rewrite of the iOS app, work on architectural and performance improvements, and design renewals. Current - Senior Engineer at Eureka. Father of 3 y/o. Works on open source libraries and personal apps during free time.

2014年 株式会社エウレカに入社。Couples iOS版の開発を担当し、Swiftへの移行を行う。 2016年にPairs JPチームにジョインし、iOSアプリのフルリニューアルに従事。アーキテクトの刷新や、パフォーマンス改善、デザインリニューアルを行う。 現在はシニアエンジニアとして、3歳の娘の父。空いた時間でオープンソースライブラリや、個人アプリの開発を行っています。
