概要/Description

PrestoはSQLベースのオープンソースの分散クエリエンジンで、Uber, Twitter, LinkedIn, Netflix, Airbnbなどデータを武器に活躍する企業が利用しています。さらにArm Treasuer Dataのサービスを通して、日本企業を含めて400を超える企業がPrestoを日々のデータ分析に活用しています。

今回、PrestoクリエーターでありPresto Software Foundationの創始者でもあるMartin Traverso, Dain Sundstrom, David Phillipsの3名を招いて、日本初のPrestoカンファレンス東京を2019年7月11日（木)に開催いたします。Prestoクリエーターらによるトークに加え、Prestoを日々実践で利用されている企業のトークもあります。トークセッション後は懇親会も開催されますので、カジュアルな話からディープなディスカッションまでお楽しみいただけます。

Prestoを運用されている方、Prestoを利用してデータエンジニアリングをされている方、Prestoはまだ使ってないけど興味のある方など、Prestoの開発者からPrestoの現在と未来について議論できる貴重な機会ですので、是非ご来場ください。

Presto is an open-source distributed SQL query engine, used by technology companies including Uber, Twitter, LinkedIn, Netflix, Airbnb, etc., to support their data-driven decision making. In addition, over 400 companies worldwide including Japan are using Presto through the data management service of Arm Treasure Data.

Arm Treasure Data will be proudly hosting the Presto Conference Tokyo 2019 on Thursday, July 11, 2019. This is the first Presto Conference that will be held in Japan. We will invite three Presto creators (and the founders of Presto Software Foundation): Martin Traverso, Dain Sundstrom, and David Phillips, as invited speakers. We will also have presentations from companies using Presto on a large scale. A social networking event will be held after the talks where you can share and discuss your Presto stories with others working in the same area.

If you are using Presto or interested in data engineering in general, this is a valuable opportunity to hear and discuss the current and future of Presto. Please come join us.
