シアトルにあるワシントン大学にて博士号を取得後、Microsoftでデザインリサーチャとしての経歴を積んだのち、現在はGoogle BigQueryをメインに扱うGoogleクラウドプラットフォームデータアナリストチームにてUXリサーチャとして活躍。

Not being able to collaborate effectively will reduce the impact of our work in a lot of cases as without the stakeholder buy-in it is difficult to influence product direction.

She will share her experiences with challenging stakeholders and the type of solutions that helped her along the way.

Google UX Researcher

Serap Yigit Elliott

Serap Yigit Elliott is a User Experience Researcher on the Google Cloud Platform Data Analytics team focusing on Google’s fully managed data warehouse BigQuery.

Serap received her doctoral degree in Cognition and Perception from the University of Washington in Seattle with a focus on visual selective attention.

After completing her degree, she worked as a part time research scientist at Microsoft Research on a contract and then as a Human Factors Scientist at a scientific consulting company where she provided expert opinion on causes of accidents (whether they were due to human error or external factors).

Serap has always had a fascination for technology and science, so she decided to continue her career in the tech industry.

She worked as a Design Researcher at Microsoft where she provided research insights for a consumer facing product prior to joining Google.
