開催概要

openSUSE Asia Summit は openSUSE ユーザーと貢献者、そして FLOSS 熱狂者のための年次カンファレンスです。これまでのサミットでは、主にインドネシア、中国、台湾、日本、韓国、インドから参加者を集めてきました。

2014年に最初の openSUSE Asia Summit が北京で開催されてから、openSUSE Asia Summit はオンラインでつながったコミュニティが、対面で集まり、お互いを知り、openSUSE やその上で動作するアプリケーションについての知識と経験を共有する重要な機会でした。しかしながら、COVID-19 により、3年の間、これが難しい状況が続きました。今年のサミットのゴールの1つは、コミュニケーションのための場所を提供することになっています。

さらに、Cross Distro Developers Camp (XDDC) との共催で、Cross-Distro Track を開催します。XDDC は、openSUSE、Debian、Ubuntu などの FLOSS OS ディストリビューションの幅広い開発者コミュニティで、特に日本語に関して共通する問題を解決するために協力しています。今年は、他のディストリビューションコミュニティからのスピーカーや参加者の招聘も検討しています。

個人情報の取り扱いについて

• 会場への入館証を作成するため、株式会社SHIFTと名前・メールアドレスを共有します。
• その他の情報は名札、参加者の管理のために使用します。

Overview

The openSUSE Asia Summit is an annual conference for users and contributors of openSUSE and FLOSS enthusiasts. The former summits received major participation from Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and India.

Since the first openSUSE Asia Summit was held in Beijing in 2014, the summits have been great opportunities for the online community to gather in person, know each other, and share knowledge and experiences about openSUSE including applications running on it. However, COVID-19 made it difficult for 3 years. One of our goals for this year’s summit is to provide a place for communication.

Additionally, we are going to co-host the Cross-Distro Track in collaboration with Cross Distro Developers Camp (XDDC). XDDC is a wider developer community of FLOSS OS distribution including openSUSE, Debian, and Ubuntu, and works together to resolve common issues especially related to Japanese. This year, we are considering inviting speakers and participants from other distribution communities.

Information

• Please finish registration as early as possible. Due to the limitation of the number of gifts and handouts, only people who registered earlier will be able to get them.
• Participation on only one of the Nov. 2 or Nov. 3 days is possible.

Code of conduct and permission to use your photo

• Summit attendees must obey the following code of conduct https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Conference_code_of_conduct
• The committee and media partners will take photos, record videos, and do live streaming for conference reports. The attendees allow the committee and the media partners to use your photos or videos for event reports without asking explicit permission. If you want to prevent your photo from being used as possible, please ask the committee.

Personal information handling

• Your name and email address will be shared with SHIFT Inc. so that an entrance pass for the venue can be created.
• Other information will be used for name tags and participant management.
