Rubyist Bulk Load 2025 (EN)
RubyKaigi is an international conference on the programming language Ruby that is held every year in various cities in Japan. This year's RubyKaigi 2025 will be held in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture. The event, "Rubyist Bulk Load 2025," hosted by GMO Internet Group Inc. and operated by GMO Pepabo Inc., will provide a means for Rubyists participating in RubyKaigi 2025 to travel from Tokyo to Shikoku using the ferry route from Tokyo Port to Tokushima Port. The purpose of the event is to create communication in RubyKaigi, such as preparation and review for RubyKaigi, and rubyfriends.
We welcome the following people to join us
- I want to travel 18 hours to Shikoku and have fun with various Rubyists.
- I want to go to Shikoku by sea while I'm there.
- I want to prepare for RubyKaigi 2025 while I'm traveling (I want to review up until 2024).
- I want to go to Shikoku by car, motorbike, or bicycle, but it's too far, so I want to take it easy on the way.
Billing
- Free ※ Participants will be responsible for transportation costs from Tokushima Port to Matsuyama and round-trip transportation costs.

Plan B
If the cancellation of Ocean Tokyu Ferry is confirmed by April 13, 2025, we will provide you with a Shinkansen + high-speed ferry to Matsuyama instead. If you do not need this, please select the option not to use Plan B when applying.

About participation
Eligibility for participation
You must be eligible to participate in RubyKaigi 2025.
When applying, please enter the email address and ticket number registered with RubyKaigi 2025. Your registered email address and ticket number will be used by Team RubyKaigi 2025, ruby-no-kai, to confirm your eligibility to participate in RubyKaigi 2025.
Application
- Please apply for this event via Connpass(This site).
- We will check your eligibility to participate in RubyKaigi 2025.
- Once your participation is confirmed, you will be provided with a Tobu Top Tours Co., Ltd. application form to complete the boarding procedures. Please note that your application will be invalid if you do not complete the procedure by the deadline.
- When applying to participate, please agree to the following privacy policy regarding the handling of personal information.
About handling of personal information
Personal information obtained through this project will be handled by GMO Pepabo, Inc., Team RubyKaigi 2025, ruby-no-kai, Tobu Top Tours Co., Ltd., and Ocean Trans Co., Ltd. in accordance with GMO Pepabo, Inc.'s privacy policy.

- To create a passenger list necessary for reservation management and ferry operation

Policy
Please agree to the RubyKaigi 2025 Policies before participating in this event. If you observe any violations of the policies during the event, please contact the event staff. We will take appropriate action.
Caution
- The destination of this event is Tokushima Port. Participants will be responsible for travel expenses and arrangements from Tokushima Port to Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, where the RubyKaigi 2025 venue is located. In addition, since this event is only for the outbound journey, participants will also be responsible for travel expenses and arrangements for the return journey.
- The content and photos of the event on the day may be published on websites and social media. Please inform the person in charge of this event if you do not want to be photographed.
- This event will be implemented by GMO Pepabo Inc. under a contract with Tobu Top Tours Co., Ltd.
- Rooms will be assigned randomly by the person in charge of this event.
- Participants with fraudulent intentions or who do not comply with the policy will be refused participation. GMO Pepabo Inc. will make such decisions.
Disclaimer
GMO Internet Group, Inc. and GMO Pepabo, Inc. shall not be held responsible for the following four cases.
- Damage caused by troubles caused by ferry operation
- Damage caused by cancellation or change of content of the event due to natural disasters, disasters, or other unavoidable circumstances
- Damage caused by loss or theft on board
- Damage for any disputes between applicants and other third parties arising from application and participation in this project
If GMO Internet Group, Inc. and GMO Pepabo, Inc. are held liable for default or tort against applicants and participants in this project, they shall not be liable for compensation for lost profits or other damages caused by special circumstances, and shall only be liable for compensation to the extent of direct and actual damages that would normally occur. However, this does not apply in cases where GMO Internet Group, Inc. and GMO Pepabo, Inc. are intentionally or grossly negligent.

RubyKaigi は毎年、日本の様々な都市で開催されているプログラミング言語Rubyの国際カンファレンスです。今年の RubyKaigi 2025 は愛媛県松山市で開催されます。GMOインターネットグループ株式会社が主催、GMOペパボ株式会社が運営する当イベント『Rubyist Bulk Load 2025』では、東京港から徳島港へのフェリー航路を利用して、RubyKaigi 2025 に参加する Rubyist たちの東京から四国への上陸手段を提供します。RubyKaigi の予習や復習、rubyfriends など、Rubykaigi におけるコミュニケーションを創出することを目的としています。

- 当イベントの目的地は徳島港です。徳島港から RubyKaigi 2025 の会場がある愛媛県松山市までの移動の旅費・手配につきましては参加者様のご負担となります。また、当イベントは往路のみですので、復路の旅費・手配につきましても参加者様のご負担となります。
- 当日のイベント内容や写真はウェブサイトやSNSで公開する可能性があります。撮影NGの方は当イベントの担当者へお伝えください。
- 当イベントはGMOペパボ株式会社が東武トップツアーズ株式会社と契約の上、実施いたします。
- 客室の割り当てについては、当イベントの担当者が無作為に割り当てます。
- 不正な参加目的の方、ポリシーに沿わない方の参加をお断りします。それらの判断はGMOペパボ株式会社にて行います。
免責事項
GMOインターネットグループ株式会社およびGMOペパボ株式会社は以下4点の場合には、一切の責任を負いかねます。
- フェリーの運航に起因するトラブルにより生じた損害
- 天災や災害、その他やむを得ない事情によるイベントの中止・内容の変更により生じた損害
- 船内での紛失・盗難による損害
- 本企画に応募・参加したことにより発生した、応募者とその他の第三者との間で生じるいかなる紛争についての損害
GMOインターネットグループ株式会社およびGMOペパボ株式会社が本企画に関し応募者・参加者に対して債務不履行責任又は不法行為責任を負う場合、逸失利益その他の特別の事情によって生じた損害を賠償する責任を負わず、直接かつ現実に生じた通常生ずべき損害の範囲内でのみ、損害賠償責任を負うものとします。但し、GMOインターネットグループ株式会社およびGMOペパボ株式会社に故意又は重過失が存する場合はこの限りではありません。
