AWS is used by many companies. It's important to be able to use it and fit in with a culture that uses AWS. You don't need to be an expert about all of their products, but you should know how to get around at least a little.

This talk is meant to help you do exactly that.

--Biography--

Beau Dobbin grew up in Atlanta, GA, USA and moved to east Asia a few years ago. He has worked in software development, English education, and audio engineering. He is interested in computer science education and building software that makes people's lives better. In his spare time, he likes to make music with computers and play with modular synthesizers.

7:45 - Prerequisites for coding along
8:00 - Step 1 (Get Hello World running on AWS)
8:30 - Step 2 (Make the same simple static page locally)
9:00 - Step 3 (Push local changes to the AWS server)
9:30 - Finish
