イベント概要

実際にApache Pulsarを使っているいくつかの企業の発表を通じ、機能・特徴・応用事例・運用におけるベストプラクティスなどを知っていただくイベントです!

Apache Pulsarとは

Apache Pulsarはマルチテナント・スケーラブル・ハイパフォーマンスなどの特徴を持つメッセージングシステムです。Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQなどを触ったことがある方は同種のものと考えていただければイメージしやすいと思います。もともとYahoo! Inc.で生まれたシステムですが、2016年にOSS化され、現在はApacheプロジェクトの一つとして活発に開発が行われています。

スマートシティのデータパイプラインとしてのApache Pulsar

概要

スマートシティでは車のセンサからカメラまで多様なデータソースがあり、これらのデータをリアルタイムに分析することも求められています。この発表ではApache Pulsarをデータパイプラインとして利用する場合、いくつユースケースにおける要件および利用上の注意点を紹介します。

What’s New on Apache Pulsar 3.0.0

概要

The Apache Pulsar community has recently unveiled Apache Pulsar 3.0, the first LTS version of the Pulsar. In this talk, we'll delve into the significance of the LTS version. We will also talk about the major features introduced in Pulsar 3.0, including the new load balancer, support for delayed messages on a large scale and direct IO optimization, etc.

概要

In this session we will show how to use the best of both worlds. Let's compare both architectures and Java Client Implementations and decide what's best for you! Do you pick the battle? Or are you making allies? It's up to you!

Mary is a Java Champion and a passionate Senior Developer Advocate at DataStax, a leading Data Management company that champions OSS and specializes in Big Data/NoSQL, Streaming, Managed Data Cloud platforms, and Real-Time AI systems. She has over 20 years of hands-on software engineering and technical architecture experience in Java and Open Source. She is an active tech community builder outside of her day job, and currently the President of the 3000+ member strong Chicago Java Users Group (CJUG).

Ko Turk コー・トゥルク

Ko Turk is an experienced developer working for Blue4IT. He is focusing on Java, Kotlin and isn't afraid to code in Typescript. He likes to write articles for the Dutch NLJUG JavaMagazine. Also he is regularly speaking at international conferences about Apache Kafka Streams, Micrometer and Kotlin. Because he doesn't like bull it slide presentations, you can find him (live) coding at stage.
