The Women in Software Engineering (WiSE Japan) community is a great place to present in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
If you have been working on a side project, you are excited to share insights of a tech topic, practice your presentation skills, get accountability on your progress, and share your knowledge with the community, etc. This can be a great opportunity to do so.
First time presenters are welcome!
What You Need to Prepare
- A short presentation or live demo of 3 to 5 minutes.
- Choose any subject in the field of programming, technology, or Software Engineering.
- Possible topics include a new tech stack, development approach, tool, or project you've worked on before or during the session.
- Examples:
- A Swift calculator app
- A game written in React
- A Jupyter Notebook for data analysis
- How to deploy a web app in Azure/AWS
- Building a knowledge graph with Neo4j
- A slide deck is optional.
How to Participate as a Presenter
- Apply by filling out the questionnaire form when you subscribe for the event.
- The presentation is selected based on its relevance to the community.
- Avoid off-topic presentations such as promotional software or using AI to apply for jobs.
- If your presentation is not selected for this event, it may be chosen for future events.

Audience
Our events target professional women in software careers with 2+ years of experience. Beginners to seasoned professionals are welcome to participate. While this organization focuses on women, all genders are welcome at our events. Software-adjacent roles like Data Science, Product, UI/UX, Machine Learning, etc., are welcome, too.
